In these challenging times we live in, we could all use a bit more peace, clarity and ease. Meditation is often prescribed and suggested; but can feel like an elusive start for many of us!
In this workshop, we will go through the basics of starting a meditation practice: finding your seat, establishing greater connection to the body and strengthening your sense of self-movement and body position. We will move through some very simple meditations that can be done by any level of practitioner.
Firstly we will move through a body awareness meditation, building a stronger direct experience of the vehicle in which we live. Secondly, we will move through a meditation to connect us more deeply to our experience of the senses; and learn how to maintain a grounded awareness of the body in that experience. And finally we will move through a deeper meditation incorporating the body, the breath and the subtle awareness of energy as it moves through the various systems of our beings.
The entire session will be recorded and given to participants to continue their meditation practice at home.
This class is open to beginners and those with experience looking to expand their practice.
